Jewish Youth for Community Action (JYCA) helps inspire East Bay high school students to political and social action. Its in-depth curriculum provides ongoing leadership development so that youth might serve as social-justice and philanthropic volunteers, get out the vote canvassers, and peer educators. JYCA is youth led, with adults playing supporting roles. This grant supports JYCA’s ongoing work in Oakland and Berkeley and helps the organization develop the partnerships needed to expand into San Francisco.
