| Description | Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay (JFCS) provides vital mental health and social services annually to more than 8,000 Alameda and Contra Costa county residents of all ages and religions. One of its primary programs supports and resettles immigrants and refugees. In the last several years, the number of refugees resettled by JFCS East Bay has more than tripled. Its staff is skilled in working with refugees from war-torn countries and provides services in Arabic. Since January 2017, JFCS received more than 400 calls from prospective volunteers and part of this grant supports improved volunteer management. |
