Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay
| Program Area(s) | |
| Description | Jewish Family and Children’s Services of the East Bay (JF&CS) is a multiservice agency that promotes well being through case management, financial assistance, mental health support, and—increasingly—immigration assistance to Jews and non-Jews. At this time, Iraqis represent 29% of the refugees in the United States. They are one of the largest local refugees groups, with more than 1,200 Arabic-speaking Medi-Cal recipients living in Alameda County. This grant from the Fund enables JF&CS to expand its Arabic language capability, building bridges between the Jewish community and other ethnic groups. The grant also supports financial assistance to low-income Jews. |
