| Description | The Jewish Community Federation of San Francisco, the Peninsula, Marin, and Sonoma Counties continues to be a vehicle for significant philanthropic support of the Jewish community. In 2017, the Federation awarded $18.1 million to organizations in the Bay Area, Israel, and globally. It makes grants in three primary areas: caring for the vulnerable, connecting Jewish people with Jewish experiences, and strengthening Israeli society. The Federation also oversees a pro bono consulting practice that places skilled professionals with nonprofits and it coordinates a capital-planning committee that provides free expertise on real estate developments. |
