| Description | The JCC of the East Bay is a rare example of a successful JCC that lacks a fitness center to generate revenue but which has been successful at creating innovative and high quality programs. Its accessible Jewish holiday programming, lectures, and cultural celebrations enable its participants to explore and build Jewish identity. The JCC also plays a significant role in the national Maccabi games — a weeklong teen athletic competition — by recruiting and supporting a delegation of East Bay youth. |
