Among its many programs, the Immigrant Legal Resource Center educates immigrants to prevent them from falling victim to the exorbitant fees and false promises of scammers who claim to offer an expedited path to citizenship. To this end, the Center is developing consumer education materials and training leaders from 36 chapters of the faith-based PICO organizing network. Those leaders, in turn, will reach an estimated 11,000 immigrants with protective education.
