Throughout the school year, Imagine Bus Project works with San Francisco Unified School District and community-based after-school programs to provide weekly visual arts instruction to kindergarten and elementary school students. It additionally manages a year-round arts education program for incarcerated youth in San Francisco and Sonoma counties. Under development is a leadership program for youth on probation. In 2013, the Project served nearly 2,000 children and youth, with 95% coming from low-income families. In its work with youth in juvenile facilities and on probation, Imagine Bus Project offers participants a positive way to voice their ideas, part of a path leading away from incarceration and gang violence.
