Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA) is a statewide legal service and advocacy organization that defends seniors, immigrants, and other vulnerable populations from predatory financial service providers and practices, such as wrongful debt collection. HERA legal staff engage directly with consumers through workshops, counsel, and longer-term advocacy. HERA also works closely with organizations across the state to reform policy to benefit low-income consumers.
