Housing and Economic Rights Advocates (HERA) provides legal advice and representation to low-income and vulnerable populations who are often taken advantage of by financial service providers. It focuses on addressing fraudulent attempts to collect inflated or un-owed debts; credit report errors that the credit companies will not address; and the unfounded fees debt collectors for homeowner associations sometimes charge. HERA assists its clients through workshops, one-on-one legal and financial advising, and class action lawsuits.
