Hillel the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life, San Francisco Hillel

Program Area(s)
Description

San Francisco Hillel’s pluralistic programs engage diverse students in social justice and service learning on ten local campuses. In 2017, it will launch a leadership program to train 30 students connected to underrepresented communities on campus. These future campus leaders will be charged with planning a minimum of 60 events geared towards engaging other religious, ethnic, and faith communities. As graduate students often don’t have the time or knowledge to engage with local Jewish organizations, graduate student leaders will also be trained to serve as liaisons and programmers on their campuses.
