Hillel the Foundation for Jewish Campus Life
Program Area(s) | |
Description | Berkeley Hillel fosters diverse and vibrant Jewish engagement at the University of California at Berkeley. It has been an important bridge-builder, connecting Jewish students with other student groups, and its 16,000-square-foot building plays a critical role in that work. This building was last remodeled over 30 years ago when event attendance was dramatically lower. To fund the upgrading and expansion of these facilities, a capital campaign has been launched. Renovations will include new roofing with solar panels; seismic retrofitting; ADA compliance; and security features. This contribution to the capital campaign helps Berkeley Hillel reach more students, improve its safety and security, and expand its programs. |
