It works with California’s dispersed and fragile Native population, publishing a quarterly magazine for and books by Native Californians, as well as producing events featuring Native artists and intellectuals. It honors Native history, encourages Native artists, and enhances the general population’s understanding of Native Californians. Heyday’s Native programs are organized by The Roundhouse, an institute within Heyday managed by Native Californians.
