Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Francisco
Program Area(s) | |
Description | Hebrew Free Loan Association of San Francisco has, for over a century, provided interest-free loans to Jews, offering financial assistance to help cover emergencies, tuition, home purchases, debt consolidation, adoption, and medical needs. In 2014, the Association created its first nonsectarian loan program to aid low-income students in paying for college. With college tuition soaring, low-income families both struggle to qualify for private college loans and face high interest rates when they do. Hebrew Free Loan Association partners with other organizations serving low-income teens to identify candidates, provide financial literacy training, and help keep financially challenged students on the path to higher education. |
