| Description | Golden Thread Productions helps to counteract heightened Islamophobia by producing its biennial ReOrient Festival of short plays by Middle Eastern playwrights and writers of Middle Eastern descent. Panel discussions also complement the performance of selected plays. In 2017, Golden Thread will work with the University of California’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies and the Office of Resources for International and Area Studies to develop curricula and a professional development program about the Middle East for K-12 educators in local school districts. |
