Golden Gate Bonsai Federation’s garden features a collection of more than 200 masterpiece bonsai, including the first bonsai brought into the United States from Japan. The Federation is now improving the garden to museum-quality by replacing rotting display benches, upgrading walkways, and more. As these improvements are made, the board is also undertaking training in fundraising, collection management, and financial management. This one-time grant from the Fund benefits a distinctive, high-quality cultural asset that can be enjoyed for free by many.
