Gamelan Sekar Jaya is recognized internationally as the finest Balinese gamelan ensemble outside of Indonesia. One way the company deepens its educational programs and refreshes the quality of its music and dance work is by hosting master artists from Bali. These guest artists lead classes and co-develop new works, reaching an estimated 12,000 diverse Bay Area residents with major works from the continuing tradition of Balinese arts.
