| Description | Flyaway Productions dance company incorporates climbing and aerial work into its choreography. Its GIRLFLY Art and Activism program works closely with 20 girls each summer, helping them with physical fitness and dance training tied together through a social justice theme. In 2018, program participants will work in the Tenderloin and study that neighborhood’s history and social conditions. By the end of the summer, the girls will have choreographed their own performance and designed and implemented an activism project, helping to improve both themselves and their community. |
