| Description | Aerial dance practitioner Jo Kreiter, founder of Flyaway Productions, creates work shaped by stories of strong women and social injustice. Her GirlFly Dance Education Program works with approximately 20 girls. Participants receive daily dance training in order to create an original work on a location-specific theme. In 2017, GirlFly will take place in Hunters Point, where the girls will study women’s rights and health and environmental justice. Most participants will come from the Excelsior, Visitacion Valley, and Bayview Hunters Point neighborhoods. |
