Faith in Action Bay Area connects congregations and faith-based organizations, training members to be effective leaders across lines of faith. It focuses on issues of economic equity, including affordable housing, access to health care, and — particularly — immigration. This grant expands Faith in Action’s work, enabling it to train up to 250 faith leaders in community-organizing so they can support members of immigrant communities who face potential deportation and separation from their families. Faith in Action has been a leader in the rapid-response network of volunteers who receive alerts of and react to local ICE raids.
