Education Outside’s Corps Member program places outdoor educators in elementary schools where they teach science, alongside classroom teachers, using green schoolyards as a learning tool. Most students at participating schools receive weekly outdoor science lessons aligned with Next Generation Science Standards. Education Outside also offers science workshops intended to ground classroom teachers in science content and the new standards. This grant from the Fund helps to expand the Corps Member program so that more students can receive quality, engaging science education.
