Earned Assets Resource Network (EARN) is a national leader in the asset-building field. In 2016, the organization began leveraging technology to increase the number of clients it can serve. It launched an updated mobile-first solution that allows clients to link their savings accounts to EARN’s online platform, track savings in real time, and receive actionable financial information and rewards for making monthly deposits. Despite earning less than $25,000 per year, program participants saved $558 on average over six months. In only 12 weeks following the October launch, more than 10,000 low-income individuals joined EARN’s online savings community and 1,400 became active savers. EARN continues to lead the asset-building field through policy, research, and field-building.
