Crosspulse produces festivals of body music; body music being a practice that encompasses clapping, stomping, throat singing, and other percussive modes that use the human body as an instrument. Crosspulse presented a large-scale and popular International Body Music MiniFest in the Bay Area for years, more recently moving it out of the United States because of difficulties with securing visas for international artists. In 2018, Crosspulse brought a six-day MiniFest back to the Bay Area, complete with concerts and workshops designed to engage multi-generational, multicultural audiences.
