Community Housing Partnership (CHP) is well-known for its pioneering role in shifting the response to homelessness from building shelters to pairing affordable housing with onsite support services. The organization owns, manages, and/or provides services at 17 residential sites comprised of more than 1,300 homes. This grant supports CHP’s Employment Ladder program to train, place, and advance formerly homeless San Francisco job-seekers in property management and hospitality career pathways. It achieves this through a three-week academy, followed by up to 15 months of transitional employment. About 80% of program graduates get placed in permanent jobs.
