Description | Clergy and Laity United for Economic Justice is a statewide organization that strengthens faith communities’ effectiveness in advocating for fair economic policies for immigrants. In 2013, faith leaders from the group took part in an economic policy training that covered a range of critical issues, including tax policy, foreclosure processes, and banking reform. This grant supports the Bay Area component of CLUE’s work. The group will organize a statewide conference, train local congregations about the inequality of the state budget, and hold meetings with decision-makers concerning immigration and economic issues in California. |
