| Description | Acclaimed Kathak dancer, Pandit Chitresh Das, had a long history of teaching and performing in the San Francisco Bay Area. After his 2015 death, one of his company’s leading dancers and his widow formed the Chitresh Das Institute. This start-up offers classes in San Francisco, San Mateo, and Cupertino, and produces performances of original works. With this capacity building grant, the Institute will invest in an online class registration system, accounting software, and enhancements to its website. |
