Challah for Hunger
Program Area(s) | |
Description | Through Challah for Hunger, students from 81 colleges bake and sell challahs as a way to both fundraise for food-serving organizations and increase awareness of hunger. The group’s diverse, engaged volunteers split proceeds between local organizations of their selection and Mazon: A Jewish Response to Hunger. This grant helps enable Challah for Hunger to expand its Bay Area presence and launch a collaboration with Mazon to address the growing problem of food insecurity among college students. |
