| Description | Center for the Art of Translation produces a creative writing program focused on translating poetry. Students get introduced to short poems in internationally-renowned writers’ original languages. A glossary of definitions and worksheets then guide them through the translation process. To serve more classrooms, the Center is now training classroom teachers to implement its curriculum. Training takes the form of a daylong workshop enhanced by regular visits, coaching, and a published teachers’ guide. Many teachers apply this training to serve English language learner and newcomer students. |
