| Description | Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is a national employment program that connects formerly incarcerated individuals with jobs. In addition to a highly structured program that includes transitional employment with a daily paycheck, CEO provides clients with life-skills training, job search assistance, and ongoing job-retention support. A rigorous evaluation found that CEO reduced recidivism by 22% and showed the program’s financial benefits far outweigh its costs. This grant helps the Oakland CEO office implement an initiative that will give clients access to higher-quality jobs and supply them with financial tools to manage their incomes. |
