Center for Cities and Schools
Program Area(s) | |
Description | The Center for Cities and Schools conducts research, provides education, and facilitates collaborative policymaking between Bay Area governments and school districts in order to improve public schools and urban communities. The Center has two signature programs: Y-PLAN is an in-school, K-12 project-based learning program, and the PLUS leadership fellows program places graduate students in yearlong internships with government agencies and community organizations. With limited resources for planning, school districts benefit from the PLUS fellows’ expertise while the fellows gain critical hands-on experience. |
