Californians for Justice, a statewide education advocacy organization, launched a campaign that encourages school districts and cities to invest in efforts to strengthen student-teacher interactions. Its Oakland campaign will identify and advocate for investments that improve teacher retention in high-need schools; build a broad coalition to advocate for funding teacher-retention efforts; and pilot retention strategies in at least two high-need Oakland schools.
