| Description | California Poets in the Schools’ literary artists-in-schools program brings particularly robust programming to the Bay Area. Classroom teachers praise their hands-on workshops for improving students’ vocabularies and encouraging creative use of language. This grant provides $5,000 to the organization for capacity building and $15,000 to fund creative writing workshops in 20 San Francisco and Alameda County schools that serve high numbers of English Language Learners and low-income students. |
