| Description | California Poets in the Schools places professional poets in classrooms across California but its base is in San Francisco and its deepest programs serve the Bay Area. This grant from the Fund enables the organization’s teaching poets to bring programs to those San Francisco and Oakland public schools where parent associations are not robust enough to otherwise pay for them. The grant also includes $5,000 for capacity building, money that will fund the hiring of a development consultant who also will assist with board development. |
