The California Budget Project is a primary source of state budget information for legislators, the media, and nonprofits. Focusing on furthering the economic security of low- and middle-income Californians, the organization analyzes the complexities of the state budget and other budget policy proposals and explains their intricacies to the public via briefings, presentations, the media, and publications. In 2015 the California Budget Project is collaborating on identifying opportunities to rebuild the state’s safety net, reinvest in education, and improve outcomes for low- and middle-income Californians.
