California Alliance for Arts Education advocates for high-quality arts education for all students in the state, providing policy expertise and mobilizing a statewide network of parents, students, and other advocates. The Alliance develops policy papers for educators and state leaders and runs a Student Voices video contest, inviting youth to submit short films about their visions for improving their schools. It also forms and coaches groups across the state that encourage people to get involved in developing their schools’ required Local Control Accountability Plans. Support for the Alliance helps to maintain a strong voice for arts education in Sacramento.
