| Description | The California Alliance for Arts Education is an advocacy and policy organization promoting strong arts education programs in California public schools. Chula Vista Elementary School District recently hired 70 full-time arts teachers to provide the district’s nearly 30,000 elementary students with dance, music, theater, and visual arts instruction. The Alliance takes this unique opportunity to study how increased arts education in Chula Vista affects student outcomes. Researchers will focus on the impact of the arts on student creativity, engagement, and social-emotional learning so as to better guide arts education policy. |
