| Description | Faith leaders and their congregations increasingly use moral suasion to offer policy solutions to community problems. The Bay Area Organizing Committee organizes clusters of synagogues, other faith communities, and nonprofits in the East Bay and San Francisco to develop relationships across lines of faith, race, class, and geography. For example, it recently united 200 faith leaders in support of Proposition 30, which increased tax money for education. |
