Au Co Vietnamese Cultural Center seeks to re-connect generations of Vietnamese Americans to each other and their cultural identity via traditional music. Through this project, one acclaimed Vietnamese musician will lead five intensive workshops in the dan Tranh (zither), engaging an estimated 50 students. Workshops will teach contemporary Western and traditional Vietnamese pieces as well as original material written for the class. Study will culminate in a concert held at the Legion of Honor.
