| Description | San Francisco’s Asian Art Museum recently undertook a study of its potential audiences, investigating what might draw a more culturally and socioeconomically diverse group to the institution. This research led to the development of a new community engagement plan that focuses on partnership with a wide array of education and social service organizations. The three-year plan also strives to improve the Museum’s ability to engage differently abled and LGBTQ audiences. The Fund supports the Museum’s concerted efforts to serve a broad range of San Franciscans, including low-income Southeast Asian families living in the Tenderloin. |
