Anti-Defamation League

Program Area(s)
Description

Anti-Defamation League (ADL) is one of the nation’s leading civil rights agencies. Since the 2016 election, it has responded to a rising tide of Islamophobia and anti-Semitism in part through its Silicon Valley-based Center for Technology and Society. This center creates and deploys tools in partnership with tech companies, providing a vital resource in combatting extremist activity online. Other of ADL’s local programs help Bay Area schools respond to traumatic national news and create ways for teachers to discuss bigotry in the classroom. By countering hate on- and off-line, ADL helps make the Bay Area—and the country—a place of safety and welcome.
