| Description | San Francisco’s American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) operates in-depth arts education residency programs benefitting students at three San Francisco Unified School District continuation schools. Through these programs, many socioeconomically disadvantaged youth join weekly acting classes, attend A.C.T. productions, and write monologues and short plays that they then perform at A.C.T. venues. Tutors from 826 Valencia Street provide students with further assistance. A fourth residency site will be added in 2016-17. |
