| Description | AcroSports engages 9,000 students with the circus arts, training them through its Haight district gymnasium and through free outreach programs in San Francisco Unified School District schools. AcroSports applies a distinctive “urban circus” style that combines gymnastics, trapeze, aerial work, and juggling with hip-hop and breakdancing. To reach larger numbers of low-income children, it recently developed a Mobile Arts Training program, partially supported by the Walter and Elise Haas Fund, that provides free short- and long-term sessions to students in San Francisco public schools. |
