For years, the Alliance for California Traditional Arts has supported the folk and traditional arts practices of Californians – especially traditional artists who are under-recognized and under-appreciated. This grant enables the Alliance to offer continued support for Master-Apprentice and Living Cultures Programs. These apprenticeships will allow master artists to work with dedicated community-based students and arts groups living in San Francisco and Alameda counties.
