Program Area(s)
Description

The Center for Art and Public Life at California College of the Arts connects graduate and undergraduate arts students to the greater Bay Area community, encouraging students to incorporate public service into their artmaking practice. One of the Center’s programs places paid student fellows in nonprofits and public schools where they contribute as staff members. In the 2018-19 school year, an estimated 18 program participants will assist arts educators in public schools or through after school programs. This grant helps the Center to increase the number of fellows it will deploy.
