San Francisco Community Agencies Responding to Disaster

Program Area(s)
Description

San Francisco Community Agencies Responding to Disaster (SF CARD) recognizes that underserved populations are disproportionately vulnerable to major disasters. It helps congregations and nonprofit organizations that serve those communities better prepare for disaster by providing crisis response training and support. SF CARD staff sit on the Mayor’s Disaster Council and work with the city’s Emergency Operations Center, ensuring that the community’s voice gets heard in government planning.
