Community Housing Development Corporation’s Ways to Work program helps makes car ownership affordable for working poor families who need a car to meet work and family obligations. It provides low-interest car loans of up to $8,000 to people who otherwise would be unable to secure affordable financing due to poor credit. The Ways to Work model incorporates up-front financial education and budgeting, assistance in car selection, the loan itself, and ongoing support during the repayment period.
