Brava! for Women in the Arts

| Description | The Mission Academy of Performing Arts (MAPA) at Brava! unites its tenant arts organizations to offer after-school performing arts classes to local youth. Approximately 50 students participate in these theater arts, technical theater arts, and Mexican folkloric dance and music classes each year. MAPA students also may participate in Running Crew, through which they learn technical theater skills. In early 2016, Brava! presented a musical performance celebrating 60 years of Mission District history; a reprise of the piece in the late fall 2016 will provide a challenging learning opportunity for Running Crew participants. |
