Zaccho is an internationally-recognized aerial dance company based in Bayview / Hunters Point. It has long provided free dance classes during and after school and motivated students are encouraged to come to Zaccho’s Bayview studio to participate in more advanced training. An estimated 82% of students served come from low- to moderate-income families. Zaccho’s performances are always based in the history of places, and the organization brings this methodology to its work with students. Each year a curricular theme is chosen and written with the guidance of participating classroom teachers.
