| Description | Oakland Unified School District’s (OUSD) English Learner department is partnering with Mills College’s School of Education to develop a groundbreaking, 14-month long newcomer teacher certificate program. This program will enhance teachers’ abilities to teach English learners effectively and prepare teacher leaders who can then train and coach their peers. This grant supports one year of planning during which program elements will be developed and piloted with OUSD teachers. |
