America’s second-largest South Asian community lives in the Bay Area. This population includes Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs, Buddhists, and Christians of varied cultural and ethnic backgrounds. 3rd i South Asian Independent Film unites this intergenerational audience through its annual film festival. The Festival consistently draws a diverse audience through partnerships with South Asian community centers, social service agencies, youth clubs, academic departments, and businesses. It provides a central venue for the celebration and sharing of South Asian culture.
