| Description | Addressing the dearth of women working in recording engineering, Women’s Audio Mission’s Girls on the Mic program encourages girls to study music and consider careers in music technology. Girls on the Mic offers hands-on, after-school music production and recording workshops, both in its studio and at 40 off-site locations. Each participant completes several projects, such as music recordings, podcasts, live sound projects, or sound-for-picture projects. This grant from the Fund provides general support to Girls on the Mic so that it can continue to meet growing demand. |
